hi all,i'm having some problems finding parts for a mf40 industrial they seem to skip from mf35 to mf50.
does anybody know what other tractor this would be akin to. thanks

i have a mf 20 industrial and it's basicly the same as my 135 3 cyl perkins desiel in both
from what i've read on the mf 40 ind its based off the 165 as they have the 4 cyl perkins
when i order parts for mine i use the 135 as a base for parts other than the shutle shift and the heavier front axle i don't see any other differance between them

The guys that came up with model names didn't have much imagination. An MF30 is 4 times bigger than a TO30 from 10 years earlier, an MF 20 is about the same size as a TO20, but a whole different animal. The only thing that fits a Harry Ferguson F40 and a Massey Ferguson MF40 is the seat cushion.
Search for 'tractordata.com' and see all the differences.

Just for the heck of it, I just got on tractordata. You've got to scroll down to the bottom- under 'industrial models'. 35, 135's, 50's and 150 are all under ag models.
