I have a te-20 with out an engine and I had a few questions. did this tractor have a spacer plate between the engine and transmission. It looked like on another tractor I seen that the starter mounts either to this plate or directly to the engine block that looks like a plate not to the transmission housing. also wondering if all these to-20 and te-20 used a 145 tooth ring gear and the same starter? last does anyone know where I can get a drawing of the bolt pattern dimensions for this transmission to make an adapter plate.

The starter bolts to the back of the engine. There is no adapter plate. You can go to Agcopartsbook.com and look at the parts diagrams for free.
