Hey everyone, I'm new here to the site and fairly new to the older tractor world. My dad recently purchased a Massey Harris Ferguson to-35 and we aren't really sure of how the lift on this tractor is supposed to work. We're afraid that the lift isn't working correctly. My dad used to have a MF 65 several years ago but he can't really remember how its supposed to work and I was too young to really pay enough attention as to how its supposed to work.
The draft controls when pushed down actually raises the lift and when you pull them up, the lift lowers. The position control lever doesn't seem to work at all or do anything. The previous owner stated everything worked fine and they had used the tractor recently to bush hog a field. Which I understand we just have to take their words for what they are, but we aren't sure if we are doing something wrong or not. I'm hoping that you guys can give me an idea of what to do, where to start with the problems if we do have problems. Any help is appreciated! Thanks ahead of time
