MF35 with Perkins question

Can anyone tell me where the spring on the fuel shutoff rod hooks to on the tractor? When I bought this MF35 Perkins, there was no fuel shutoff rod at all so I am installing one. The parts book shows a spring that hooks to the rod but does not show where the other end goes, nor does it indicate how long of a spring it is. Can't find pictures on the web that are close enough to that area to tell either.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

From my reading of the parts book, it looks as if Massey made at least 3 varieties of fuel shut off rod, and it depends on which rod you've ordered as to which spring is used, and where connected.

More info please?

I was using the online AGOC parts book as I don't have one that covers the diesels. The part number I ordered was "186667M91 - Rod Assembly,Fuel Shut-off" and if seemed to fit correctly. I only see the one rod on the AGCO sight. This is for a 1961 MF35. Last night I found a small hole under the battery tray covered in gunk that may be where the spring hooks to.

On the internet type In:
Sparex Ferguson 3 cylinder parts manual

Click on:
Sparex replacement 1-33 3 cylinder Massey Ferguson parts

View page 26

That page has the knob I ordered, but that is the only part there related to the stop rod. My throttle and stop controls all use rods, not cables. As far as I can tell, no one has the spring. I found the spring by part number in an Ebay auction, but first I'm headed to the hardware store to see if they have something that might work.

Thanks,
Dan

Found a hole under some dirt down under the battery platform and it looks like the spring fits pretty good there.
