MF 275 aux pump.

I purchased the tractor knowing it had problems. Ipto does not brake and fails under a load. no pressure at remote. Cracked fittings at side cover and one was spitting air and tiny bit of oil. Cracked line to cooler and nothing. Oil is fresh and full. I ordered a service manual and will pull it in the shop soon.

I suspect the pickup fitting from aux pump to top of ferguson pump filter housing to have failed , on account of the air spitting. I would appreciate any advice and I will update as I go.

MF 1135 and 275 on hay and barnyard duty.

Hello George.

I think you are on the right track.This was a vary common problem
with the 200 series tractors.You can over fill the transmission about
2 gallons and this will cover the pipes and fitting that may be
sucking air.I know of many tractor that have been running many
years like this. Hope this helps.

Hello lance. Thanks for the tip. This idea would verify the problem. So 2 gallons would cover it. Ok . Would the oil level remain below the dip stick tube ?

Yes it will be below the dip stick tube.I have seen some people just remark the dip stick and call it good.

I added two gallons and I'm getting flow and pto brake is working.
My remote only has power on one outlet ?

Ok . Switch valve was unscrewed for float . I'm good.

I have the same problem, only one remote works,What did you do to correct that?
