MF 245 with Perkins, not sure of year, think 1969-ish... so i had some issues with this thing and had a post in the past asking how to adjust the PTO clutch. i tried it, still not working right. i am about ready to order a whole new clutch kit. it's just not making sense to me though. I have no slipping in the drive clutch. however i have a hard time getting it in gear or changing gears without grinding. also i can't get the PTO to release. it just seams to me like more of a slop or something wore out and not getting enough throw out... i adjusted the pedal to the point of setting it too tight where if i step on it , that is all there is and if i push hard enough the clamp on the pedal slips... never done a tractor clutch. done them in lots of other things, but it just don't make sense to me and don't want to spend 300 buck if not needed. i will also add that the bottom inspection cover was missing apparently since i bought this machine about 5 years ago. guess i just never got down under there to notice. there was a bunch of dirt in there as you can imagine. so maybe that helped with wearing something out in there?
...and anyone know where i can get a inspection cover before i waste a day making one?
