Looking at a Massey Ferguson 65.Says it needs brakes adjusted. Is this an easy job to do or should I figure on a big project?

adjusters are down on the axles, look for threaded rods

if LOTS of thread is showing, those brakes are likely already adjusted to the max and you are looking at replacing stuff inside there

The other thing that happens is an axle seal can leak, then oiling the brake discs. That'll cause weak brakes and you need to take it apart to repair or replace.

Brake work on a 65 requires removing the wheel and axle trumpet which has a planetary gearbox on the end. I didn't have a lifting device so I took it apart piece by piece but a well equipped shop could pull it as an assembly. I did my brakes when I rebuilt my planetaries and replaced axle seals (and any other cheap parts I could find to replace). Didn't want to go in agan anytime soon.
