MF 240--Lift has insufficient power?

On my MF240, when using a box blade, if the implement becomes even 1/3 full of dirt, it seems unresponsive to small movements of the position or draft controls when trying to raise it, as if there is not enough power to lift the implement. The only way it responds is to pull the position lever fully up, then try to catch it before it has come up too far. The response to trying to lift it using the draft lever is the same. I have the response speed lever at the maximum position, but other positions do not improve the problem.

I assume either the hydraulic system is worn so that it cannot develop full pressure, or there is a valving problem. What should I check? David P of Wales—you once posted a very clear description of how to adjust the linkage behind the response speed side cover. Would you be so kind as to re-post that, or to point me to a link where I might download it?
