value of 230 Massey

Can someone tell me about the Massey 230 the good and the bad of these tractors, it's a 1978 model gas no power steering and needs carb work other than that it's pretty good shape. Thanks again.

Gas and no power steering would be a big minus for me. Condition of sheet metal, tires, engine, clutch, transmission, and hydraulics would reflect value as well.

Basically a newer 135. Was an economy model with less HP than the 245. Manual steering is fine. The only time it's nice to have is with a loader. Without seeing it, I'd guess it could be worth around $4000 or so, maybe more.

Go to Machinerytrader.com . Go to the bottom right hand side and click on ag equipment On next page click tractors 40-95 HP, go to Massey Furguson and you MF230 should come up. I think they had 4-5 listed w/prices & hours. Good luck!
