1965 mf 135 engine identification

I need help identifying which Perkins 3.152 engine is installed in my mf 135 1965. This tractor had no nameplate and the serial number on the engine (37111450) doesn't seems to be listed anywhere, the kits available to me are specified with serial ending in D or DL. the block also is stamped Monocyl and GKN1842. I believe the tractor to be a 1965 since the pan was cast in september 1964. So far I think it is a US model because of the round fenders, no hand brake, no lamp in front grill. It does have a dash lamp, it has a 6 speed trany and the tach is running off the cam shaft. It also had no sediment bowl ahead of the lift pump.

If anyone can help me to more clearly define the right head gasket kit to order I would appreciate.

Here is a picture of the gasket still on the block.

Your serial number will be stamped into the block near the injector pump It will start with something like 152UA*********D or DL.....The D stands for direct injection , All 135 diesels built in Britain or USA will be direct, Some French built 135s were 144 cubic inch and indirect!. The DL means direct injection and with a lip seal on the rear of the crank. These engines did not appear to maybe 1973ish? The engine overhaul kit will be the same for all 152cu/in diesels in 135s except for the rear seal. The kits I sell here in Northern Ireland come with both seal kits. Another thing, the sump cork gaskets are longer on a DL tractor, but they can be trimmed back to suit. In answer to your initial question ....If it has a 1964 code on the sump then it is most likely a rope seal engine with the suffix D.............Sam
