Power steering on a 65

I'm rebuilding the power steering cylinder on my 65.... It's the type that is held together by long bolts. It came apart just like the shop manual says with the exception of the control valve. it tells me to remove the allen head screws from the 2 holes beside where the fluid lines are. Here's where the problem is... there are no allen heads in there. There's something in there but it's smooth
it's not filled with grease or dirt, it's metal. Looks almost like looking at the top of a ball bearing... Once again can someone help a rookie out??

The spool valve pin end will unscrew after placing a straight punch through one of the oil line holes, through the spool valve itself. Then you can remove the seal and retaining ring to get the valve out.

If you go back in the archives Tom from Buckeye Lake put in a post that explained it very well. I used it to do mine a couple months back. It's listed under a 150 MF instead of a 65. Same process though.

Well Dieseltech, you were correct... It was hard to pinpoint the hole in the spool but, once I got a punch in there, it unscrewed easily. I will have to get a new oil sea though.
Thanks again all.
