I want to replace the clutch and brake shaft bushings where they go into the bell housing of my model 65... am I going to have to split the tractor to do this??
I was hoping to be able to reach from the steering cover.
Thanks

You wont even have to split the tractor to do the brake shaft..it just
slide out and the new one slides in....But the clutch shafts are in
two halves and the little square headed set screws can be a real
pain, especially the on on the clutch pedal side. Sometimes they can
wring off. You may be lucky, but I do think it is easier to split the
tractor. Chock up the engine and suspend the steering box from
above and roll away the rear end. That way you don't need to
disconnect too many wires or diesel pipes.
