The little feed store down the way has an old Massey Harris PONY for sale. Has a little plow and a cultivator with it. I didn,t ask too much about it but I guess it runs. It has a spray can paint job and the guy is asking $1900 for it. Personaly I would love to get a CUB but the pony tractors are cute. Can't get over how these little things are 10hp with four little bitty pistons. They sound so neet when they run! jeffcat

Same engine as used in the Allis Chalmers model "G" although the engines don't interchange.

I would agree that the IH Cub would be a much better choice if you plan on using it much. There are a lot of Cubs around for about the same price and they had many attachments available even today. The MH Pony models are still liked by the collectors because they seem to paint up nice and showy.
Just my opinion.

There are implements around for ponys still. I have a 60 inch Kubota deck mounted under mine... Keeps the lawn mowed around here. Also have a plow and disk for the garden. They"re even better with the hydraulic lift. Depends what a person wants.

CUTE? Mine's a little workhorse. Do lotsa things with only 10 Hp. Plow an awful lot of wet snow that the 28 Hp cub can struggle with. Drive way up in the woods to get a load to burn. Haul mulch from the garden center for the wifey's gardens. Put a ball on the drawbar and pull the troop trailer around in the yard.
