like know how to identify approx year made.

Thanks Tony, lts a te20,sold tous as a 2085 with a side mounted mower,it has bigger port or fittings on both sides of the 3 point lift housing at theq front just behind the trans shift cover, also the shoes and backing plates are different than other fergies i have seen.

Look in front of the transmission dipstick. There will be a date code cast onto the housing it should read something like 4. 11. 3 or 4.11.53 this will mean the casing was done on the 4th day of November 1953. The tractor will have been built about 4 to 6 weeks later.

Thanks,Sam,it's a '55 made approx in October. Would Friends Of Ferguson in England be able to trace t.he export date and selling dealer, and possibly the serial number?
