Christmas Greetings from Wales

Hello everyone, Christmas Greetings to you all wherever you are around the world. Another year has gone seemingly very quickly. It has been a privilege and joy to pass on some of the hints and knowledge that we have gained in our 'adventures' with MF products and other makes. I hope that we can continue to do so in 2014 and beyond. At times we have had a few 'head-scratchers' but I hope we have helped.
Meanwhile we send our greetings and good wishes for 2014 to everyone and your families.

DavidP and family.

and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to eveyone in Wales, especially the old couple whoever they were many years ago who welcomed two wet bedraggled muddy cyclists into their homes, warmed us up, had us sit in front of the fire, gave us tea, never forget them, whoever they were.

I met a family like that in Wales too... but I had a 'Britrailpass'.
Thank you David, and since we weren't squished by an asteroid or any other Mayan doomsday object... we might be able to go thru 2014 spending endless hours and endless bucks or quids on our doomed tractor projects??? Let's go for it!

Merry Christmas to you all from Yorkshire. Lovely weather here today here too, certainly not a "White Christmas"
All the best!
Roy.

Hi All Merry Christmas. This MF discussion reminds me of when JFK went to Ireland he went to an old ancestral church and I guess it was quite poor. Anyway the priest asked him for a donation. He agreed to make a donation of 5G. The priest thanked him and then wrote up in the news that JFK had made a wonderful donation of 50G. Later J told the priest he would give the 50G but they would have to put a plaque outside saying: "I came as a stranger and you took me in" lol Ed Will

David, Merry Christmas from a former Welshman, well that was my Great-Great Grandfather, he arrived in the US in 1866. Guess he couldn't give up the coal mining, he and his brother started a couple coal mines here in Perry county.

This post is a little late, as my kids, Grandkids and Great-Grandkids just left my home here in Ohio :) 10:30 pm

Do you know Joesphine Roberts from near Snowdon?
She has interesting articles in the Farm Collector magazine.
Do you keep up vith history of your country? Like from the early migration, say several hundred years ago.
The reason I ask is, in the early days of the US, pioneers that came upon Indian tribes reported that a lot of them had a Welch dialect.

Harvey, I know Jo Roberts....she writes good articles for tractor mags over here. Nice girl!
