135 3pt big difference

Was having trouble with the 3pt, it went up and down ok but wouldn"t stay up except with constant attention to the valve. The 3pt was plumbed thru the 3 spool splitter valve,I removed the 3 spool assembaly and put the delete plate on.Wow what a change 3pt blade goes right up and stays where you set it .Takes about 40 minutes for the blade to bleed down after tractor is shut off ,blade would be on the ground in less than a minute before.My question is was the 3 spool valve faulty or is this the nature of the beast. Thanks Chuck K.
 
There is either something wrong with that valve or the standpipe wasn't seated or sealed properly. Did you change the o-rings on the standpipe when you put the cover on?
 
Didn"t put new o rings in the old ones looked new.The alignment may have been the case because it took 2 tries to get the stand pipe aligned.the first time I got no 3pt action at all took off the cover wiggled the stand pipe for a better fit and all was well.
