model 35 turf special??

Found a 35 turf special for sale, has small fat tires and yellow paint. in decent condition, wondering if this tractor is rare and its spprox value? anyone know how many were made? is it collectible?
thanks

Likely a C20 turf special. Does it have the 3cyl gas or diesel? I had one with a woods C80 mower, paid $2750 in 1981, used it for like 18 years, sold the pair for over 3K! The tractor was used by state highway, prior to my buying it. It had a road gear, approaching 35 MPH, would blow the hat off your head, and get the loose front end wibble-wobbling and hopping so bad you had to step on the tie-rods, to get it under control!

Dave is right. I had one with 3 cyl. gas engine and put 13.6x28 tires on it. It would make a good race car but not very handy around the farm in high range. Mine came from the State Highway commission and they had a bunch of them with mott flail mowers to mow the sides of the Interstate highway.

What does c20 mean? this one has a gas engine. it would be a useless tractor as it has no 3 point, no hydralics, and no pto.
wondering if its actually something Unique and if i should add it to my massey collection??
if they made lots of them i really dont want it, wold like to know how rare they are

Commercial 20. You could get it with a backhoe/loader package, or lowered, with small tires on front, and 18.4X 16A turf tires on the back. Mine had a reverser on the collar, and also a ground speed based PTO speed. If yours is a bareback, it was likely used to pull reel mowers on a golf course. That's the only way I could add it up.

Man, with regular Ag tires of the 28"diameter, I bet it would do 40 MPH, or close! A hair raising ride!

Hi Bigmasseys, Lots of misinfo going on here. The
35 turf was a model no. made from 1963-66. There
is no C20 and it was not commercial. There was a
20-20C-20D-20E. These were various industrial
models also built as 30---40---50---series. Value
I don't know. Not too many sold but I would not
consider it rare. We sold one new to our local
golf course and I was sad when they sold it. That
is one I would have liked to buy. Chuck

yes this tractor is for sale by a local golf course. so puling reel mowers would make sense.
any way a 3 point could be added fairly easily?
thanks

IF it's a 35 you could add 3pt but it would get costly unless you had a donor tractor for parts. Not 100% sure on PTO though. Without the PTO I'm wondering if the transmission would have all the right parts.

All needed parts could come from a doner 135, I think. Might be easiest to graft 2 tractors together, behind the tranny, if you want to save the high gears.
