massey industrial works in Detroit

I figured out my 135 orchard was made in my home town of Detroit. i was wondering did they only assemble them there on did they do the casting and machining as well? Did the engines come from else where? was there a Detroit deisel connection? Courous minds want to know. Thanks Chuck K.

Well, probably assembled in Detroit. If it has a Continental engine, that was certainly made in Detroit. A Perkins was made in England... or France? I think a North American 135's castings were made there, some casting came from the UK. Many parts were made in Canada. This was one of the first 'multinational' companies... lucky for you, the best tractor in the world! With or without Detroit made parts....

Since this post, I saw this one. A 1961 +/- ,202 workbull.
