How do I drop the pan from a MF 275

I have never owned a Massey Ferguson tractor, so obviously, I
don't have any idea what I'm doing.

However, I have a chance to buy a MF 275 for a really good price.
It has a Perkins, 4 cylinder diesel engine with an oil leak in the
area of the rear main seal.

Is it possible to drop the oil pan without removing the engine? Is
it then possible to replace a rear main seal from the bottom of
the engine?

Thanks for any help you can give to me. I'd like to buy the
tractor, but because of my lack of familiarity with Massey
Fergusons, I'm a bit reluctant to do so.

The rear main seal on a 275 should go in behind the flywheel after removing the clutch and flywheel. You do not have to remove the oil pan. I am sure these 236 engines will be the lip seal type, usually a very reliable seal.
