Dash Light on a Massey Ferguson 35 Deluxe

I posted earlier that the dash light wasn't working when we bought the 35 and got a couple of responses. Thanks.
Now I have a followup question.
I was able to get the light out, replace the wire that was bad, replace the bulb, put it back together, and it works.
Because we just bought the tractor, I had never seen it work. There is a regular nut holding the light in place SO when I tighten it too tight it is difficult to turn to light a particular area and if it gets too loose I lose contact and it doesn't work.
Any idea what I should do?

Your losing ground. I always run a extra wire from bulb inside to a good ground on fender etc. I do this on all lights. This way you always have a bright light that works. I always lose ground from having new paint job. This should work for you.
