Question: Just got a 1972 Massey Ferguson 135. Been going throught it. Got all the light to work eccept the ones on top the fenders. Tried taking them apart and cleaning them, new bulbs, and tried wiring them into the work light that I know works. They just have one wire. Why does the work light have two? Anyway, thinking it might be a groung issue. Was thinking about ordering a new light with two wires so I can ground to the tractor? What do you guys think? Thanks

Ought to work if you can avoid the rusty connections trying to get the current to return., Might have to run a separae green ground wire. I've done that, works great.

The base of the light is your grounding point. Just jumper - to the base and + to the wire and hook up to battery. Should be good to go.

What I've done, is use a very small hose-clamp and clamp a green ground wire directly to the light socket, inside the lamp itself, drill a hole inthe bottom of the fixture, and run the ground wire to the battery. Sorta stands out, and that might objectionable, to you, but it really works.
