MF135 diesel

I posted a few weeks back about the position control not working on a MF135. You suggested it was the small spring on the position control linkage was loose or broken. You were right on the mark!. It was stretched and disconnected. I have a picture of it connected to the linkage. In removing the lift cover, I made the special wrench for adjusting the control spring adjusting nut that you provided the dimension for out of 1/4" metal with grade 8 bolts as pins. I have a picture of it and yes it is crude but it made removing a very rusty nut much easier. Now to the question. I have a picture of my ram cylinder and hopefully you can see it is very smooth. I am replacing the piston rings so should one deglaze the cylinder walls or is that not necessary with a slow moving ram piston. Thanks again for any help you can provide a neophyte.
