MF-35 Thrust Washer

Changing the oil today, I had to take off the sump screen and found
the two halves of one of the crankshaft thrust washers.
What is the easiest way to reinstall?

(quoted from post at 12:24:03 10/12/13) Never seen thrust washers on a 35, thought all were part of the center bearing.

I have the perkins diesel. Not sure how long it has been operated without the thrust washers, but it was running fine until I decided to change the oil. The drain plug was frozen and I couldn't remove it, so I decided to drain via the sump screen. When I removed it, I found the thrust washers lying across it.

I ve seen a few of those recently with the same
problem..good news is that a new crankshaft isn t
very expensive, around $400.00. what s happened is
that from constant use of the clutch, the shoulder
of the crank has worn out. there isn t much else
you can do to fix it, if you keep running it you ll
eventually ruin the block.

I had to replace my crank because of thrust washers previous owner installed the wrong. Ruined crank. pulled a sleeve into the bottom of engine and wore the block. New thrust washers don't have much of a lip on the block to hold them in but they're staying for now. I had to remove the engine, clutch, and rear bearing. I would not run it until its fixed.
