Questions about Massey mower

I assume this is a 41 mower.

I have found both the operators and parts manual they are enroute.

If you can see by the photos the belt is out of alignment, nothe seems to be bent, how do I line it back up?????

FROM THE LOOK OF THE SECOND PICTURE THE PIPE HOLDING THE PULLEY NEEDS TO BE PUSHED IN AND TURNED SO THE HOLES IN THE PIPE AND THE HOLE IN THE SHAFT LINE UP AND PUT A BOLT INTO THE HOLE.THIS SHOULD LINE UP YOUR BELT.

Not to sure if I understand, I think the angle of the photo is misleading, the only adjustment I can see is the cam type plate with the bolt in it that can rotate the whole pulley assm. but I think the part you are seeing that needs a bolt is where the PTO shaft slides on.

Thanks, thats what I thought, I read one of the manuals online and it said this was set from the factory and most likely would never need adjustment.

I wonder what happened to cause it to get out of adjustment.

It seems like a nice unit now if I can just free the piece up enought to get it to rotate.

I think your problem is an adjustment of the ecentric,,,,but I have owned 2 MF41 mowers where the frame was bent. Probably from hitting the upright mower blade in a tree or limb while moving. I had to disassemble both and have the frame heated, straightend and reinforced. Both mowed fine after that and stopped throwing belts.
