Massey 22 Engine

Is the Continental F140 a sleeved engine?

I'm going to look at a MH 22 this afternoon with a stuck engine. If it looks like it's stuck bad I may pass on it, but from the pictures it looks like it may have been sitting in a barn for the last 20 years, and may only be lightly stuck.

If there's oil in the crankcase and antifreeze in the radiator...

MIght be the exhaust on #1, 22's have an exhaust elbow that gets plugged and dosen't drain. Have had that happen on 22 and 81. IMHO I think it is easier to get exhaust vlaue unstuck that have to free up a piston.

Also, how Has it stored? In wooden barn with dirt floor in area of US with low humidity? Might be soething to think about

Went and looked at it last night.

It hasn't been run in about 20 years. It was stored in a barn up until recently. Looks complete.

Exhaust is covered.

Oil isn't black but isn't real clean. Looks like it was changed and run a little bit.

Rear rims are shot. Tires should be usable though. Matching 11.2x28's.

What worries me the most is that engine. It's definitely stuck. The unknown is how bad it's stuck. Could just be some light stiction. Could be full of rust.
