Plated as a ‘Type 37 -8 (8 designates French built) SNMY Serial No. 67880
Fitted with the Perkins 3 Cylinder engine, a variation on / development of the MF35 – in fact it is difficult to see what the difference actually is !
This is obviously a hard working specimen, unrestored and not too well maintained but still earning it’s keep on a daily basis.

Exactly the same as a 35 but for the ducellier or Paris/Rhone electrics. The french 35 was a 4 cylinder. They alos built a 42....same as the 37 but with a 65 rear transmission.

Hi,
To add a snippet to Sam's comment;
The instrumentation will almost certainly be made by Jaeger not Lucas as in the UK and AC in the States. There is a slight difference in the profile of the top of the bonnet.

Sam, an interesting thought; do you know if the thread system on these were metric or Imperial/AF?

Cheers

That is the funny thing David, they were imperial....as was the chassis stuff of all French built Masseys. Some of the 500/600 range tinwork was bolted on with metric bolts. I have owned and sold a few French built tractors....They seemed to build each one to the owners spec....very hard to find two the same!!!
