I hate to keep asking questions about the old 101 jr - just trying to learn.

My dash has 2 holes in the lower right. about 3/8" , at a diagonal from each other about 1 5/8" apart. One of the holes is covered by a large washer with a screw/nut holding in in place ( looks likes someone may have just put it there). What are those holes for?

Thanks for your help.

Dave is correct. The holes are for switches. My parts book shows pictures of two dashes. One has two holes in it and one has only one hole for the switch. In regards to you asking questions do not feel bad.I was told by my tech instructors the only foolish question is the one that is never asked.I was raised around this old equipment and I learn new things about it all the time. The people that go on this web site are very helpful.

The second hole on my 101jr has the choke cable in it. It has been there since the 60's at least. Some are on the trottle so maybe it was put there after it was out of the factory for a while.
