MF 205 Ind wont go forward or reverse

My dad has a MF 205 Industrial, year 1965, that has a shutlle shift. It was sitting for years before he bought it. I checked it out for him and it started right up and moved forward and reverse fine front loader and backhoe function too. but when the equptment moving trucker showed up it would not move forward or reverse so he pulled it onto the trailer with a winch. It hasn't moved since, anyone have any tips? Also what kind of Fluid does it take for transmission and hydraulics?
 
Hi Gerald, First I would check the rocker shaft
that goes into the hsg. (follow the linkage from
the pedals) It can rust up and not move the bit
that they have to move to actuate the linkage.
With WD 40 or whatever you use and a little bit
of tapping and it should work. Chuck
 
They take ATF transmission fluid. When our 205 get's low (seal leak) it won't move until we top it off. Filler plug is down by the right hand foot pedals. Also has a filter that could be plugged.
