Broken releif valve, IPTO.

After removing the pressure control system and installing a relief valve on my Ferguson pump and adjusting the top cover on my 135, everything was working fine. I noticed that the Ipto started to turn, and the lever was in the off position. I shifted the lever to on and the gauge read zero, which had been reading around 350psi. I removed the top cover again, 3rd time, and found the relief valve was loose, when I tried to tighten it I found it cracked. Has anyone ever tried to replace the relief valve by sourcing an universal one and some hydraulic fittings. Thanks

No, never did that, but when I finally loosened up a remote valve under the seat, the pto went off as it should. When I restarted a long dead MF35, the pressure relief must have been shot, I blew the lift piston and nearly ruined the cover. You had the cover off 3 times?? you deserve a rest! Or atleast a run of good luck!

Here is an update on my broken relief valve. I checked around and was not able to find a used one locally and Agco wanted over $600 for a new one. After looking to have the old one repaired at a local machine shop I realized that I would be able to file a taper on the broken end and use a hydraulic fitting. I purchased a oring boss to flared fitting, threaded the fitting into the ipto, removed the pickup pipe from the aux pump and shortened the supply tube. The only issue I ran into was I had to clearance the pickup pipe about 1/16th". This repair cost me $2.50 and I did not have to split the old girl. Here are a few pics.
