Massey Ferguson 50 no compression

I"ve been doing some bush hog work for a neighbor using his Massey Ferguson 50 tractor with a Z134 (Z134A500P) gas engine. I noticed when I first started the tractor that it was missing so I brought it to my house and checked the compression. Found that the first cylinder had no compression and the other 3 were around 60. Squirted some oil in the first cylinder and retested with no change. The tractor does not smoke at all.
I was wondering if someone with experience with these tractors would have a "most likely" cause? Worn camshaft, bend pushrod, burnt or stuck valve, rocker arm problem?
The owner is on a vacation trip right now, and I figured when he gets back I might at least take the valve cove off and see if the rocker arms and pushrods are working.

Bring the cyl to top dead center and shoot some regulated shop air into the plug hole, If you hear hissing at the tail pipe=ex valve, you hear it coming up thru carb=intake valve, you hear it coming out the oil filler=rings. you can also pull the head and look at the valves and turn the motor by hand....

Thanks Mike, I'll definitely give that a try. I've done that with cars, but didn't even think of it this time--think I'm getting "rusty"

That's pretty low across the board, could be a stuck valve spring on the one and maybe a blown head gasket, pull the radiator cap and look for bubbles.

Ran the air into the cylinder today. No sound from the exhaust or carb and no bubbles in radiator. There is however, lots of air and hissing coming from the crankcase. Guess it's time for a rebuild. I'm amazed. I would have thought with as much blow-by as this thing has that it would "smoke like a tar kettle"
