I picked up what was supposed to be my new piston rings from the implement store today and they don't look the same and one set is totally different than the others. What am I getting wrong here or did they mess up my order. Two of them have 2 internal spring oil control and one set has a three piece oil control and an additional squiggly piece of wire (probably an oil control spring). The pictures on the plastic do not look at all like my piston. All three are AGO #745815M91. One is an HCL and 2 MCL's. Which goes with my tractor? Can you help?!!

I would guess the pistons were replaced with aftermarket pistons at one time and you ordered oem rings, piston makers do not make the pistons all the same.Unless you can determine the make of your existing piston. This is like a hyd, hose, they don"t want the ends to interchange with other manufactures..

That happened to me with an online supplier, I ended up getting the rings from the YT shop here.
The main problem is Cat now owns Perkins, and getting people confused makes Cat happy, and to avoid lawsuits, every one else must play shell games.
The rings for 152 gasoline are for sale in single sets on this site, I would order one set, see how it compares. Someone at an assembly line must have put the wrong rings in the right package, it happens..
click on YT store, parts, 135, engine parts, rings, near the bottom...

That junk you are dealing with is the very reason I don't do ring jobs, partial overhauls and inframes. I put it all in new with a master overhaul kit or I don't touch it. People don't want to pay me for my time trying to figure out what the guy that rebuilt it before me used and I can't do it for free.
