mf 300 combine brake fluid

My son just bought a MF 300 combine to run fescue seed. Nice shape for the age, but need to add brake fluid. Does it just use DOT 3 brake fluid or does it require an oil based fluid?

I have never had a 300 but my 510 uses hydraulic oil in the brake cylinders.

I would call local MF dealer to be sure. It may save you alot of problems and $$$.

I use DOT brake fluid for my 300's brakes
The master cylinder and wheel cylinders look the same as other brake systems

All 205s 300s,410s,510s 540s,550s,750s and 850s were shipped from the factory with DOT brake fluid in them

Thanks for the help; fescue seed and the old 300 both should be ready about Monday. My son is only the 2nd owner and overall it is in really good condition.
