1st - NEVER had any issues before. Is full of fluid. Both sets of remotes still work fine. Steering still works fine. brakes still work fine. Worked a box blade for about 2 hours - when done I unhooked and raised arms and LOCKED them in the UP position. then Hooked up Batwing mower. Mowed 6 hours. Came back to house unhooked batwing and tried to lift arms so I could turn the UNLOCK knob back to OPEN on back left. could not turn it due to weight of arms internally on lock so I picked up on the arms about an inch and turned the knob. then the arms then sank down and will not pick back up. ((normally you just slide the lever and they pick up about 1 inch more so you can unlock or OPEN)) The Linkage is fine and working. 3 position lever is working. Draft knob turns freely. all linkages good. ??? Is there a priority valve on it somewhere that switches steering to 3 point lift and vice versa? where is it located? roger in little rock. HELP!!! need to hook up my hay mower ASAP!!!

p.valve is in front of the steering hand valve,
behind engine valve cover. If everything else
works, probably not the problem. It is designed to
keep steering and brakes working during failure.
Get an extra set of eyes on the bottom end of the
quadrant lever. When rotating between draft and
position control an eccentric is engaged to
"change" the operating mode. This assembly is
good for locking up, "sticking" and in some cases
breaking. The eccentric works in a cast yoke that
is religious for breakage. I had machinist make
these yokes out of 1018 steel and added a grease
fitting for easy lube.If this is working your
problem may be internal. I've owned an 1100, two
1130's and an 1105 since the late seventies.
Nothing is bulletproof, but with 28000 hours
total, I've only opened up behind the clutch five
times, to replace a trans bearing, a pto clutch
pack, a park pawl and two multi-powers. Failure of
the small shaft coupling between the transmission
and the center housing would cause the hyd pump
not to work and would shut-down all hydro systems.
However I do remember a neighbor with an 1100 that
everything "went slow" as his coupling was very
worn but still gripped enough to turn at a slower
than normal speed. The pump is a cessna and
located under the floor pan. Suspects could be an
o-ring, relief valve right on up to the pump
itself. Since only the 3 pt is inoperative, I
believe your problem is smaller rather than
larger. I know they are few these days, but my
best resource was an MF territory service rep who
retired and then went to work in a dealership.
Unfortunately he is long gone now.

Yes - I double checked that. the vertical slide moves to all 3 positions and the little half moon tab moved back and forth thru each slot freely ( one slot per lever position). I guess I should pressure test the port of the priority valve that goes to the back and if there is pressure it will be in the Quadrant Lever Box or underneath the quadrant box in the control valve itself... I bet its trash in the control valve in one of those tiny ports... might be cheaper to just run a hose to the rear cylinders thru an external single valve and run them off the aux ports..... jeeez....

I never could get mine working again so I connected
the lift cylinders on the remote valve, that was 14
years ago. I don't use draft control so It has
worked great for me.

well i have one that did that yesterday on right side under the lift arm is a small plate the valves stick sometime you can move them with a screw drive and get then to free up my problem was it raise but not lower was able to get it to work now proble is that pump only has 1250 on remotes so not enough to raise the cutter bar or cutter at all. my question is that it looks like one can remove relief valve for main pump from bottom i hoping that solves the problem cleaned the charge pump screen and change main hyd pump today but no better though it does raise and lower as it should but with only 1250 psi wont lift much i open for suggestion as i don't work on a lot Massey the agco parts on line parts book is a big help
