mf150 diesel for sale?????????

Hello guys, Picked up a mf 150 diesel today, couldn't get it started yet. It has a 3cyc. diesel, does anyone know what engine that is? The seller had recently plowed with it and he said it started puffing smoke bad, so he shut it down and parked it. It has one newer rear rim and the rear tires look like they have 80-90% rubber. I may be selling if anyone is interested, got to many projects going on. Located East central Mo. Thanks Larry

AD3-152 Perkins same as a 135. Arguably the best engine(and tractor for that matter) ever made in it's HP class. Check the air cleaner and/or the hose to the intake. If it's starving for air could make it smoke and be hard to start. Could also be fuel filters, injectors, etc. The MF experts on here can help you figure it out. Very desirable tractor!

Thanks for the reply, sounds like it may be worth keeping,rolled it off the trailer today and parked it beside to shed. There is no starter switch on the dash and the previous owner used a screw driver on the starter selnoid and thats how they started it. The battery on it is good so I tried to start it the same way and the bendix sounded like it engaged but the engine would not spin, maybe the starter is stuck or bad?????? I may take the starter off just to see if I can turn the engine. Larry
