Took canister filter off awhile back, old hoses were pretty tired so I set them aside with the intention of making new ones. Got a new bypass filter base and hung it off block, filter is on, just need to plumb it up. Problem is, I don't remember which port was pressure and which was return... Anybody here know which is which?
Any and all help appreciated...

Dazed -

If I recall correctly, the port on the RH side vents back to sump (as you face the ports). You can use a coat hanger bent in a "U" shape to verify. The pressure port is a long straight port that crosses over from the other side of the block. The sump port is literally 0.625" deep then completely open to the crankcase.

Thanks for the replies. Couldn't crank engine. No battery or cables as of yet. Just trying to get things done as I get to them... Was fairly certain rear port was return, but couldn't be 100% sure... Thanks again!
