massey 670 fuel problem

My dad was bushhoging the other day with our 670 and it died. We thought at first it run out of fuel, but we put 10 gallons of fuel in it and primed the system and it still wouldn"t start. We have changed the fuel filter, checked fuel flow to the injector pump, tried to bleed the ijectors, and tried pulling it off. Their isn"t any fuel comming out of the return line on the injector pump. We did get it to run for about a min. twice but it die. Do any of you guy have any other ideas before I send the injector pump off to be checked. thanks in advance jordan

Is the hand prime pump working? It sounds like the valves have fallen out of the fuel lift pump or got some dirt in them. Start at the primer pump, unscrew the outlet pipe and prime, then do the same at the filter and the injector pump...open both bleed screws on the pump and open a diesel line to one injector, leave this line loose/open until it fires then tighten the connection, but be careful of diesel spray as it can harm your skin!.

The hannd primer is working. We bleed the system all the way to the injector pump. When you spin the tractor over with an injector line loose very little fuel comes out. No where near enough fuel or pressure to open the injectors. when we got it to hit one time with an injector line off, the injector line had good pressure and flow. so we stoped put the lin back on and it fired up and run for about a min. and died.
