I attempted to add hydraulic oil to my 165. there was no obvious filling hole so here is what happened,
I started the engine that ran or about 2 minutes, lifting up the arms I then turned it off.
then I unscrewed the two bolts holding down what I thought was an inspection plate on the top drivers right hand side. after removing the bolts I prised off the plate and a lot of hydraulic oil spewed out, then i immediatly dropped the arm lever to release the pressure. I then noticed that there was a rigid metal tube affixed to the underside of the plate that seems to locate somewhere in the bowels of the casting.
I then added the gallon of oil and replaced the cover again.
when turning on the engine the hydraulics wont work?
Have i done something terminal or is the remedy just to somehow bleed the air out?
