Drain tank on MF 135

What is the best way to drain a tank on a MF 135 diesel? I need to work on the injector pump.

Surely there is some kind of trick rather than letting it run down the side.

I wish it had a shut off valve.

Thanks, Greg

I have a 35, not a 135, but isnt there simply a banjo bolt you can remove either at the pump, or a filter or the lift pump and pull the line gently away but over a bucket and drain it?

Or remove the banjo and put a nut on the banjo bolt with the copper washers in place, effectively plugging the end of the line so you don't have to drain/refill the tank and then rebleed your lift pump and filters.

If there is no shut off at the sediment bowl... how the heck did you ever change the filter cartridges? If there is seriously nothing there, get a big funnel and a big jug or pail or two, and wear already dirty stinky clothes. And while it is empty, get a sediment bowl with a shut off valve.
