Looking at a Massey Ferg 135 Loader - Whats it worth?

Tractor has 4200 hrs...Perkins diesel. Engine rebuilt 12 yrs ago at 3200hrs...At that time they (local Massey Dealer) also rebuilt injector pump and went thru the hydraulics and installed all new clutch...Has nice Ford Industrial loader and new rear tires. Sheet metal straight, runs great, steers a little hard to one side but not the other...Has no glow plugs but block heater. Whats it worth???
 
Why did it need a rebuild and clutch? Maybe it had been abused? It is not an industrial loader tractor. If it is good shape now though, I'd say $4500 to $6000 without seeing it. The tires were probably around $800 to replace. Is it at a dealer and/or what price is being asked for it? It would be a lot easier to advise if the asking price was in the ballpark.
 
The tractor needed a rebuild because it threw a bearing. They rebuilt the motor (Perkins diesel) and replaced the clutch while it was apart and did anything else that could possibly be done while it was split.

The guy is very meticulous about his stuff (private seller) and he has had the tractor 28yrs. Selling because he bought a new 4wd Massey with loader. Asking $5000.....
 
Try to find out what's wrong with the steering but $5000 seems pretty reasonable for a diesel with a loader. Does the loader have a separate pump? Offer about $4400 and see what happens. Most people always ask a little more than they'll take. Don't hesitate too much or it will be sold to someone else. 135's are very desirable.
 
Thanks for the info. Yes it has a separate pump for the loader, runs off the front of the motor. BTW its not a 135 its a MF165...I made a mistake when I posted this....He was asking $6000 but we have negotiated to $5000....
 
For all who may have viewed this, I posted the wrong model...Its a MF 165 with loader, Perkins diesel..>Any other thoughts???
