MF 97 rear bearing

I use my MF 97 on a daily basis for mixing feed. It starts greats, runs great and looks great but there is a sound coming from the rear. It started as a clunking sound when the tractor was in road gear and was slowing down. Now there is an occasional grinding sound which makes me think axle bearing.
Anyone have any experience getting access to those bearings?
I heard it was a major undertaking.

the Super 90 I have started grinding and binding up like that last summer. When I took the planetary apart the gears and theshafts they ride on were all trashed in there. I don't know if the 97 is the same but mine was an easy fix once I found the parts. It turns out the ones off of a65 would've worked.

I heard that it was common because the crown gear was riveted onto the differential and after time the rivets would stretch causing the gear to become loose and slap around.
