Reproduction MF135 Z145 engine tag

I couldn't find anyone selling repro tags (Z145) so I decided to make my own. The quality and detail is actually better than the ones on the market. My old tag had been painted over, chopped and scraped. The only thing readable was the numbers. My technique is different . I drilled out the old rivets and installed new ones. I'm going to try to reproduce a serial tag for my 1941 studebaker next. Let's see some of those beat up engine Z145, Z134 tags. -kid

Wow that is brilliant! and how exactly did you make it? I am sure there will be others asking you to make repro tags for them in future.

Nice try, but it looks like it was printed with an inkjet printer much like most of the other knockoff reproduction identification tags offered by various dealers, and the fonts don't look right either.

The original Continental Motors engine tags were etched and enameled using a completely different process that made them them much more robust.
