35 throttle linkage

The original subject was "35 throttle linkage".

I have the exact same problem. My throttle linkage broke at the point where the attachment screw goes into the disk on the firewall. Did you ever find a replacement part? Would love to find that part! Thanks.

Try McMaster.com, I got some for my TO35 from there. Haven't put it back together yet but they look like they'll work great.

well, that looks like it will work! i just have to figure out the thread size and direction and I think it will work. Great tip thanks Ralph! ps, I will post the particulars here when i get them cyphered out. pss, the exact link for the part that I am looking at is: http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/119/1186/=mbnoeh

There are the particulars on the ones I ordered. 6058K32 is the part number. They threaded right into the old holes. I had to cut one off a little shorter to get it to thread all the way in. The dimensions of the joint make it a little longer so you may have to alter where the bracket bolts on under the dash. I have my dash off currently so that makes it easier but if you are working on it from underneath it might be quite a bit more difficult.

I found the parts at Farm Depot in Schoolcraft, MI. They had exactly what I needed. I believe they are an Agco distributor. The phone number is 269 679 3939.

Thanks Rlayman, I just forwarded that message to my email account so I can call them tomorrow. Looks like this is a pretty common issue with the MF 35. Interesting that the part is so uncommon. Thanks to you and a couple others on this forum though, I am sure I will locate a replacement. Once I do, I will post complete information (or just buy about 10 extras and sell them myself). Thanks again, keep farmin" brother!

Thanks to all for the replies and the help. The throttle linkage is fixed. See the pictures with the captions that explain the steps I took. I got the parts from McMaster Carr, a great tip! The repair cost under 10 dollars.

Good to hear it worked out. Exactly what I did for mine. It would be nice if there was a place on this site where we could have a list of parts which are not available as a factory part or with a factory part number. Sort of our own cross reference for obsolete parts.
