MF 50 Turning adjustments update

While showing my son the problem with the turning radius, he found a loose bolt which was blocking the steering cylinder from going full range to the right. Bolt was just below the ram, so I couldnt see it. Once removed, the tractor turns full to both sides. Helps to have a second set of eyes on the problem. Jim.

Hi
Glad ya found it was an easy fix. In your reply to my other post you said you could not see the spline shaft was twisting. as a general reference you might not always see the movement. The top might twist and bind up solid. mine did it turning in a rut, and it stayed tight. I had to dismantle it to find it was stripped. I've seen an oliver or cockshut 1800/1850 do the same thing before so it can be common.
Regards Robert
