Was discing the back field last weekend with the MF 50 and the tractor started lurching. Engine was pulling smoothly. Turns out the Multipower was shifting on it own. Pushed it down to low and it stayed put. Finished discing and came back to shed changing the lever. It shifts from high to low and back again. Guess I just needed to work the machine a bit to get the kinks out. Just like me.
I am still trying to equalize the turning left and right. Turns sharp to the left and shallow to the right. PItman arm is alligned on sterring box shaft. Drag link is solid, no adjustment. I found one tierod end is bad, but cannot get the rod out of the tube. Any other areas to check. I wondering about the lower arm on the power steering link was removed and reset off center to provide more stroke on the left side. This one has me baffled mre than usual. Thanks, Jim.
