MASSEY 202 CONSTRUCTION YELLOW JOBBER

what is the value of a MF 1965 202 worth that is locked up? everything worked until then. just a loader, no backhoe.

if i bought it at 350 bucks would it be worth the hassle of parting it? tires are black and round.

I figure that scrap is 600?? but i won"t buy junk at junk price.

thanks for all opinions.

I would say you could make a lot of money parting it out. If the loader is in usable shape it should be worth more than that.

(quoted from post at 18:21:59 03/20/13) where is the tractor ?

My thought exactly!! :)

If you bought it at $350 you would be doing VERY well IMO. You could very easily make a good return on your invenstment by parting it out.

At 350 or even 650 it would already be in our shop in 70 pieces. If you know the business, or are willing to learn, get dirty, clean all parts, inspect for defects, make sure you are selling quality parts, ship the quickly, answer the phone until 11:00 at night. The answer is yes you can make some money, it's not as easy as it might first appear

This was my '58 202, also siezed, spun bearing, shot clutch and flywheel etc etc. $500. All I 'wanted' was the tires and rims... within 2 months the engine was rebuilt like a swiss watch, got a new flywheel from VT parts here, kit from the YT store- and tomorrow will begin parting out a diesel I sunk nearly 3 grand into...
ques ker saw Inno? 'say la viee mon ami'... nes pas?

There are plenty of parts available. To me, if everything else was working before the engine seized, it would be a good candidate for rebuild. There are other tractors out there that have been used and abused and have a lot less going for them that would make better parts tractor candidates. Engine parts for the 202 are readily available so to me it would be very hard to turn it into just a parts machine when it could be so much more. If you are in the business of parting out machines then the decision would be much much easier......and you could stand to make some money as opposed to sinking a whole lot into it. I guess the biggest thing would be finding out just how badly damaged that engine is.

2nd guess. WAS going to part it, by tomorrow at this time... might be rolling again good as...better than new?
If you are handy around engines, and got a manual, there is nothing out there easier to fix.

I bought my 202 for 3800$ then used it for three months, broke the crankshaft, spent another 2000$ in parts to rebuild z134. Its still hard to get a good tractor for under 5000$ I would jump at a chance to get a tractor so cheap!!!!!!!!!!

The top of the column on the left. If the parts aren't under 202, most everything is a MF35 too. Shipping is fast, prices are cheaper than most anywhere that is retail. People compare prices to 'Sparex', but in the states, that is a wholesale only online store. Begine by buying a couple manuals...
