| | the top of the sleeves in the 260 are .080 smaller in diameter than the 277 where they fit in the groove at the top of the block. is this a problem? and are they to same at the bottom where the oring go? |

| | If those sleeves are in good condition and have the pistons to match, you have the holy grail of Massey 44(4) owners. H277 sleeves went right in my 44. I THINK M&W sleeves were also to be a drop in replacement. However, I removed a worn set of 4 5/8" sleeves (M&W overbore size) from a 55 and had to bore the block .060" to fit NOS 4 5/8" sleeves. So what Dieseltech said about later blocks having thicker sleeves may be correct. Pull your original sleeves and measure them to be sure. Good Luck. Mark G. |

| Don't think you can. I thought the 277 block had a larger bore for the sleeves. |

| Would have to look in the old M&W book, remember pistons were the same but later blocks/sleeves sizes were changed from H 260 blocks. May have been the lower pilot only, not sure about the flange. |
