polarizing regulator MF35

Assuming I replaced my regulator correctly (I removed only one wire at a time) I still need to polarize the unit. Does anyone remember the wiring on the bottom of the regulator and which one is the field and which one is the battery. Visibility is poor in the barn and I am having an issue reading the engraving on the wiring lugs.

I finally ran an extension cord all the way out to the barn, and bought a trouble light. Makes a BIG differrence.

Hi,
You don't need to polarise the regulator when it is replaced, only the generator.
If you have replaced the wires one by one, it should be ok. Have you started the tractor and checked the charge rate yet?
Evan.
