mf 35 3 point pin extraction

You will need to remove the appropriate trumpet (axle) housing. The pin has a retaining nut located internally. The pin is tapered and locates in a tapered bore in the axle housing.
Drain off the rear end oil, remove the rear wheel and using lifting equipment, unbolt and lift the axle housing from the centre housing.
Check the condition of the housing before fitting a new pin. If the existing pin has been loose, causing the pin to snap, you may need to use a retaining compound (loctite, araldite, etc) to carry out a successful repair. If the loose pin has badly flogged out the seat, a replacement housing may be the go.
Also not a bad option to replace both when one side breaks. This can be done by removing the L.H.S. axle housing which then gives you access to the R.H.S. pin retaining nut, once the diff centre has been lifted out.
Just a thought,
Evan

Since Evan didn't buy a new roll of film for his camera, I will post some pics for him. It is alot easier to remove the wheel and rim, leave the axle in the trumpet, and do as Evan says.
Is yours a 1955 or 56? Is it on the right side? Seems to be a flaw at the factory. Agco should recall these and fix them all for us! Fat chance eh?
These are pics of a couple I have done the last year or so, and the rusty castle nut is what I used to 'double nut' the new pin- one wasn't broke off, it was unscrewing itself, but you can't retighten it without a split either.
A new one is sitting on the 4x4 next to the busted one- near the can of cheap soda. Have fun.

Jims photos are spot on but one thing. in the first photo the red rtv looks like it was pushed to the inside of the rear end and that is bad when it brakes lose it will get in to the pump and make one h of a mess. RTV is fine to use but just a light coating will do other then that he was right on
