Massey Ferguson 175 Diesel

I have a 175 diesel that will run away throttle speed wise. As soon as you give it some throttle it will run away. Anyone have some insight?

Injection pump governor assembly not shutting down metering control valve, usually due to some internal parts wear. May need a new main housing, or other parts. Does tractor have high hours use?

Thanks for the response, I was quite sure issue would be internal to pump, and I do believe this tractor has seen some use, but still runs decent otherwise. Owner has been running it like a car which is quite dangerous for over-revving.

Repair a lot of MF CAV pumps, usually for other problems as overspeed is not as common, but it can happen.
