I've had some issues with the fuel system on my 1135, picked up a new lift pump today. I could not get the new pump seated on the cam. The rocker arm was shaped slightly different from the lucas pump that I removed. In addition, the arm was 3 straps riveted together, something I had never seen in a pump. The return spring also popped loose while I was attempting to install the pump. The old pump appears to have plenty of suction so I reinstalled it, Agco parts continues to disappoint me. I think that I will convert the 1135 to an electric pump, this had already been done to the 1105 when we bought it.

The "lever strapping" is not a new idea. Many older pumps utilised this idea.
What was the part number of your replacement pump?

When fitting a new pump, it's often a good move to fully depress the hand lever while marrying it up to the engine block. It takes the spring pressure off the body while bolting it up.
Some pumps have quite an amount of travel, so it's often a good move.
let us know the part number of your replacement,
Evan.
